Opt-In Policy
Last updated: January 2025
1. Purpose
Aging in Comfort SMS consent is optional and separate from submitting a service inquiry, requesting an estimate, purchasing services, or agreeing to any Terms & Conditions.
Customers may opt in by checking the optional SMS consent checkbox on the contact form. The checkbox is not pre-selected and is not required to submit the form. If a customer does not check the SMS consent box, they may still submit an inquiry and receive service.
SMS messages may include responses to inquiries, missed-call follow-up, consultation scheduling, appointment reminders, service updates, and customer support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
2. How Customers Opt In
Customers may provide express written consent to receive messages from Aging in Comfort in any of the following ways:
a. Via Website Form
When visitors complete a quote or contact form on our website, they may check an optional consent box labeled:
"Optional SMS consent: I agree to receive text messages from Aging in Comfort about my inquiry, consultations, appointments, reminders, and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase or service."
Submitting the form with this box checked constitutes written consent to receive SMS or MMS messages related to Aging in Comfort services. Leaving the box unchecked does not prevent form submission; we will simply respond by phone or email instead.
b. Via Text Message Opt-In
Customers may also opt in directly through SMS by replying "YES", "QUOTE", or another keyword to a message from our business number.
Example initial message:
"Hi, this is Aging in Comfort. Reply YES to receive quotes and updates about home-safety remodels. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
A reply of "YES" or any other affirmative keyword constitutes express written consent.
c. Through Other Channels
Consent may also be collected through lead-generation or advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Lead Ads or Google Forms) where customers actively submit their information and acknowledge that they agree to receive messages from Aging in Comfort.
3. How We Use Consent
We use the contact information you provide to:
- Send quotes, scheduling updates, and reminders
- Share important service information or limited-time offers
- Respond to direct inquiries
Message frequency varies based on your communication with us.
4. Opt-Out Instructions
Recipients can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP.
They may also request removal by emailing info@agingincomfort.com or calling (877) 772-1171.
Once opted out, we will no longer send text messages to that number except to confirm the opt-out.
5. Recordkeeping and Proof of Consent
Aging in Comfort maintains secure, timestamped records of:
- Website form submissions with consent checkbox status
- SMS conversations showing "YES" or other affirmative replies
- Source URLs or lead-ad screenshots where consent was captured
These records are retained to demonstrate compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
